I just watched Léon. A 1994 Luc Besson masterpiece. Think Chloe Mortez in Kick Ass without the cape / the love between Annie and Mr Warbucks plus Jeno Reno. Basically 12 year old Mathilda is saved from the corrupt DEA agents who killed her family, by Léon, the "Italian hit man". She wants to stay, he lets her. He teaches her to 'clean'. Mathilda loves Léon. As do I. And I also love Mathilda's style in the film. I have since fashioned my own pendant choker though I don't think I will automatically acquire Mathilda's angelic bad assness The film really makes me wish I had foul parents, shot down by the DEA just so I could find my self a beautiful Italian hit man like Léon who would love me like he loves Mathilda.
You can totally see where the idea for Hit Girl's hair came from by the way...
